This whey is combined with sunflower lecithin (non-GMO), which makes it easier to dissolve in water and reduces foaming during stirring. Optimal whey digestion is critical for the breakdown of "native" whey into bioactive peptides in the gastrointestinal tract. Stomach acid plays an important role in denaturing whey proteins so that pancreatic enzymes can access them to break them down into peptides and ultimately amino acids.
