Tea tree oil is a topical antiseptic and ideal first aid remedy for external infections, such as nail fungus, staph, ringworm, acne, and herpes, as well as oral and vaginal infections. As an essential oil, it also works wonders for eczema, cuts, abrasions, insect bites, burns, boils, and abscesses.
The WHO confirms the following topical uses of tea tree oil, which are supported by clinical data: deodorant, treatment of acne, athlete's foot, furunculosis (boils), periungual folds, vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis or Candida albicans, cystitis, and cervicitis.
