The Bach flower remedy Gorse is found growing on gorse bushes, shrubs that grow throughout Europe, but also in the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand. Thanks to its density, its thorns, and its small, protective, scale-like leaves, gorse quickly becomes impenetrable.
The Bach flower Gorse can bloom as early as autumn, bringing color as the winter solstice approaches. Indeed, it has luminous golden yellow petals, which can release a very pleasant scent when soaked in sunlight. Its small flowers, formed of five unequal petals similar to butterflies, then continue to bloom until spring, resisting whatever the weather throws at them. They are found in great abundance from March to June, illuminating the edges of the roads with the arrival of fine weather. Known for its beauty and strength, gorse is also nicknamed Breton gold, and has become the official emblem of Brittany, while its flower has been designated the national flower of Galicia, a region in northwest Spain.
