GastrAid is designed to directly support the gastric phase of digestion and stimulate the excretion of pancreatic digestive juices into the small intestine.

Adequate hydrochloric acid is essential for healthy protein digestion, nutrient availability, and maintaining normal gastric flora. The ability to produce hydrochloric acid naturally declines, especially after age 60. Pepsin production appears to decline even further with age.

Supporting natural gastric secretions and acidity contributes to normal digestion, absorption, and immune health. Maintaining an acidic pH in the stomach also helps maintain normal gastric and intestinal flora.
