The Crab apple flower, also called Mulus Pumila or wild apple flower in French. It has five white petals, sometimes with some shades of pink, a color that captures the light well and recalls purity, arranged around a heart composed of yellow stamens. It is a fragile-looking flower, with delicate petals, because its roots are shallow. It blooms in spring, during the months of May and June, to then produce small apples in the surrounding area that are picked after the first frosts.
It grows on wild apple trees, which can reach five to ten meters in height with a dense crown, giving them a robust appearance. They grow throughout Europe and have a highly developed adaptability, as they can grow on all types of soil. They also tolerate freezing temperatures very well. The crab apple is a forest tree that is quite independent, as trees of the same species rarely grow next to each other.
