The yeast and bacterial fermentation process results in coenzyme Q10 with an all-trans configuration, which means it is identical to the natural coenzyme Q10 found in the human body.

Coenzyme Q10 produced by chemical synthesis, on the other hand, generates cis isomers, a configuration of the molecular structure absent from the human body.
